Title IX and Protection from Sex Discrimination
As outlined in Policy 533: Title IX and Protection from Sex Discrimination, the college does not discriminate on the basis of sex in the education programs or activities it operates. This requirement is mandated by Title IX and 34 CFR, part 106, and applies to both admission and employment.
The college’s nondiscrimination policy statement, grievance procedures, and grievance process—including how to report or file a complaint of sex discrimination or sexual harassment, and how the college will respond—are outlined in this policy. While the Title IX and Protection from Sex Discrimination policy governs these matters, other college policies may also apply.
Inquiries about the application of Title IX and its regulations may be directed to the Title IX Coordinator, the U.S. Department of Education Office for Civil Rights, or both.
